Hatbox Ghost over Graves — Graves skins for Deadlock

Self-explanatory. Changes Graves with a crappy model of the Hatbox Ghost from the Haunted Mansion. This mod includes: Model replacement. SOME sound changes. The sound changes are little stuff, nothing big or major. The models replaced are the Hatbox Ghost over Graves and the hatbox over the weapon. Voice clips are from The Haunted Mansion (2023) movie. This is a pretty low quality mod. A lot of people in the Deadlock community probably don't even know who The Hatbox Ghost is and don't really like Disneyland at all. If by any means, this gets enough attention and people recommend changes or additions, I will improve it, but please let me know since I can't read minds. THE BLUE GRAVES MOD IS NOT DONE BY ME AND IS THIS MOD!!! IF YOU WANT AN AWESOME SAUCE EXPERIENCE, PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS OTHER PERSON'S MOD AND PUT ITS PRIORITY ABOVE OR BELOW THIS ONE FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Graves asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Hatbox Ghost over Graves?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Hatbox Ghost over Graves safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 44 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this skin?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.

Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.

A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back.
