What if the drifter was green? — Drifter skins for Deadlock

If the Drifter was green he would be a. color called green. Changes all of the Drifter's textures, VFX and portraits to be hue-shifted to green. I made this because a friend asked for it. There is an alt version which has green " Did you see that? " portraits, as my friend likes to use that mod. Thanks to DeerLaloutus for allowing me to use your mod and sending the portraits to me.

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Drifter asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.

A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back.
