Vyper Facelift/gun edit — Vyper skins for Deadlock
Hey everyone, i wanted to try my hand at redesigning vypers face, and i think it looks okay, but im not much of a texture artist, so the poor feller looks a bit like gex, iykyk. I also redesigned the weapon a hair, now with drum mag. If anyone wants the blender file to use to either retexture or just to mess around, let me know. Fair warning, i used smart unwrap so you will probably need to fix the uvs. I did a quick lil edit to the skin texture to tone the colors down a bit and add a bit more of a mottled texture, it looks a lil better now. Take a peek on the screenshot, and id recommend using that one in leau of the default now.
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Vyper asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.
