Third Eye [ALPHA] — hud for Deadlock
"Could mystical eyedrops be the edge you need in the Ritual? Mildred Visions' most recent innovation, the 'Third Eye' tinticure, certainly claims so, but are these statements fact or fiction? Read all about it in today's edition of the New York Oracle." Third Eye is a heavily customizable UI mod for Deadlock, including various features from many other Deadlock mods, as well as some mods exclusive to Third Eye. The core tenets of Third Eye are: Speed In a game like Deadlock, having a visually smooth experience is one of the most important factors to your enjoyment of the game. Third Eye's features have been individually vetted to make sure they have as little impact as possible on gameplay stability. Simplicity Third Eye has a good few features, and more will come with time. A search bar helps you find the specific features that you want to enable, and the Backup tab contains an export code that allows you to import saved settings with a simple copy and paste. Scope There are very many HUD mods currently on the market, so deciding which ones to add to Third Eye and which ones not to add is difficult. Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install Third Eye [ALPHA]?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is Third Eye [ALPHA] safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 895 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this mod?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove Third Eye [ALPHA]?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
