Rainbow Dash Soul Container — model replacement for Deadlock

Changes the Soul Container into Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony, as suggested by user stratwastaken. As with my other soul container mod, she can get a little large, this shouldn't be an issue if you play a larger character, but on characters like mina it can get a little funny. Model created by Royalroyaltymodel112 on Sketchfab and licensed under the CC Attribution which allows me to create this.

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Rainbow Dash Soul Container?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Rainbow Dash Soul Container safe to install?▾

A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
