OSRS Shop Icons — hud for Deadlock
this swaps ALL 179 shop icons (weapon, spirit, vitality + the brawl stuff) for real osrs inventory icons. i tried to match them by what the item actually does so it's not just random, like: - toxic bullets = poisoned dart. - extra health = a shark (obviously). - lifestrike = scythe of vitur. - fury trance = amulet of fury. - spiritual overflow = overload. - split shot = twisted bow. - ricochet = red chinchompa. some are a lil loose cuz osrs doesn't have a 1:1 for everything (shrink ray is a rock hammer rn, don't ask) but it's all legit wiki icons, nothing ai or redrawn. it ONLY changes the item icons. no gameplay stuff, no stats, nothing sketchy. just vibes. HOW TO INSTALL. - mod manager: install it, enable it, launch in modded mode. done. - manual: drop pak01_dir.vpk in Deadlock/game/citadel/addons (rename to a free pakXX_dir.vpk if you already got a pak01) and make sure gameinfo.gi has "Game citadel/addons" in the search paths. if icons go back to normal after a game update, just relaunch in modded mode, updates love resetting gameinfo.gi. if it crashes for you, take out any other mods first and test it alone, then lmk what else you had on. CREDITS. all icons are osrs item sprites from the osrs wiki, (c) jagex. unofficial fan mod, not affiliated w/ jagex or valve, not making money off this. if jagex has a problem with it i'll take it down no stress
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install OSRS Shop Icons?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is OSRS Shop Icons safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 6 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this mod?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove OSRS Shop Icons?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
