Numeric Health v2 | Now with Single Bar optionsquality of life/fixes for Deadlock

This is a new version of my Numeric Health mod made for the new citadel_unit_status_use_v2 health bars. For this to work, you need to add the following to the ConVar section of your gameinfo.gi file: "citadel_unit_status_use_v2" "true" It also should now work with "citadel_unit_status_use_v2_for_nonplayers" "true" YOU NEED TO DISABLE/TURN OFF THE FOLLOWING IF YOU HAVE THEM: citadel_unit_status_dpi "#" (causes an issue where the healthbar is lower than it should be, around neck level on Abrams. It does not seem to mater what number you set this to as they all seem to break it. Just remove the line.) and/or citadel_unit_status_single_bar_mode "true" (The mod relies on the multiple bar version of the healthbar for both the Mult-bar and Single-bar copies of my mod) gameinfo.gi is under your Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel I am hiding the multi-bar versions under Archive to cut down on confusion and choose paralysis for new users. They still will work, they just wont be as immediately visible, If you want a working version for the citadel_unit_status_use_new, please see https://gamebanana.com/mods/603113 as they have integrated my old Numeric Health into that mod better then my original did. I would also recommend my Noticeable Ult Mod

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install Numeric Health v2 | Now with Single Bar options?
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Numeric Health v2 | Now with Single Bar options safe to install?
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 388,746 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this mod?
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
Where does the download come from?
Directly from the author's GameBanana page. deadlocktrade.gg indexes mods and links back; it never rehosts files, so you always get the release the author published.
How do I remove Numeric Health v2 | Now with Single Bar options?
Delete its .vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
