[NoStam] Stamina Manager Base + Skyrunnergameplay modifications for Deadlock

No Stamina (NoStam) is back! The No Stamina (NoStam) mod is a base modification for all "NoStam" maps. No Stamina is a game modification in which the player's movement is constricted to it's core mechanics to create an interesting and fun movement game mode. Players are intended to complete courses or routes using nothing but jumping, wall jumping, corner boosting, edge boosting, mantling, etc... No Stamina was invented back in Late September of 2025 for a way for players to practice the basic movement mechanics of Deadlock, the mod has gone through multiple revisions revolving around movement nerfs such as the wall jump stamina nerfs. The first one being in the 10/2/2025 update which nerfed wall jumps after the first costing 0.5 stamina, and the second one being in the 11/21/2025 update which nerfed the initial wall jump costing 0.25 stamina which completely broke the original mod. It wasn't until the 12/17/2025 patch in which the 0.25 stamina nerf was reverted and the mod became functional again. No Stamina is patched! This new updated version of the mod removes the need for changing each hero individually by having a separate hero dedicated for the maps, this hero is named pk_runner . Thank you @alacripose for recreating the mod for the community to use! Movement Maps labeled as NoStam will most likely require this base modification for them to be used as intended. If you ha…

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install [NoStam] Stamina Manager Base + Skyrunner?
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is [NoStam] Stamina Manager Base + Skyrunner safe to install?
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 16,906 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this mod?
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
Where does the download come from?
Directly from the author's GameBanana page. deadlocktrade.gg indexes mods and links back; it never rehosts files, so you always get the release the author published.
How do I remove [NoStam] Stamina Manager Base + Skyrunner?
Delete its .vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
