Chaos joins Deadlock! A standalone visual and audio replacement for Baba , featuring Neco-Arc Chaos while preserving the hero's original gameplay. Included. Chaos character model, facial details and custom materials. Customized bench, teapot and character accessories. Hero portraits, cards and interface artwork. Four custom ability icons, ability effects and cast artwork. Chaos voices, selection dialogue, combat dialogue and death sounds. Custom reload audio and music for Granny Long Legs and Feed The Birds. Gangnam and Rumba dance presentations. Custom hero selection, shop, MVP and results presentation. Installation. Install through Deadlock Mod Manager and disable older versions of this skin. Manual installation instructions are included in the ZIP. Maximum compatibility. The individual Chaos and Neco-Arc releases share interface files and may conflict when installed together. For maximum compatibility, download the coordinated release from NECO ARC - Great Cat's Village R . Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Baba asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Neco Arc Chaos - Baba?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Neco Arc Chaos - Baba safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 2,727 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this skin?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?▾
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
