Milkman Manny — skins for Deadlock

Fresh off the truck: Deadman Danny is now Milkman Manny. Up before dawn, delivering Lash's "RAW" "Milk" door to door, by jetpack. Cap, torn white shirt, red bow tie, goggles on. Keeps a glass-door mini fridge on his back, ready to give you Lash's "RAW" "MILK" whenever, wherever. The gun is a giant glass milk bottle, and every shot leaves from the cap. His salvo throws milk bottles that stick in the ground and burst white. Every effect in his kit is milky. Milkman Manny gets his own name, logo, portraits, ability icons and select-screen poster, shadow included. One install: drop pak69_dir.vpk into game/citadel/addons. Don't stack it with another pak69; any free pakNN_dir.vpk name works. Swap back any time by deleting the file. Credits for the fridge (K-) and cup (dnte) models. Updates as Deadlock patches. Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Milkman Manny?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Milkman Manny safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 37 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this mod?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?▾
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
