Literally Rem from Re:zero as RemRem skins for Deadlock

IDK who this character is but she looks "familiar" I worked really hard on this mod — hope you guys enjoy it!! If there's any bug feel free to report it ;) Here’s what I added : - Rem model, weapon and Ice spell - Redesigned and recolored skills - New skill sounds - Custom character selection pose and lighting - Rem’s and Puck’s voice lines Bugs that I can't fix, maybe soon? Rem’s physics get turned off when she’s on the zipline because Rem uses prebaked physics. This is handled by Deadlock itself, Sadly I can’t force the chain ball physics to always stay active, which is why the physics sometimes stop working during gameplay When the chain ball physics detect a floor above the character, it can fly upward and stick to the ceiling. This is caused by world collision physics and is working as intended If there any future update to fix these bugs pls report me

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Rem asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install Literally Rem from Re:zero as Rem?
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Literally Rem from Re:zero as Rem safe to install?
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 24,981 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this skin?
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
Where does the download come from?
Directly from the author's GameBanana page. deadlocktrade.gg indexes mods and links back; it never rehosts files, so you always get the release the author published.
How do I remove Literally Rem from Re:zero as Rem?
Delete its .vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
What other Rem mods are there?
113 mods are indexed for Rem, 113 of them skins. Browse all Rem mods.
