Kiana Kaslana - Yamato — Yamato skins for Deadlock
Replaces Yamato with our one and only spicy tuna! *On the mod manager, you can ignore the critical files warning. I'm pretty sure it's from the file I tweaked to change the tags on the hero select* This mod incudes: Model / weapon replacement Dynamic cloth and ponytail physics Voice lines (all except intro convos and the ones I've never heard anyone use before) Top bar and map icons Hero select and shop pose Unique VFX / SFX for abilities Ult music / symbol Model, voice lines, and icons stolen from various Honkai media (mostly the game) Critical health icon stolen from sesield Known issues: Hair / cloth physics: I am aware it's not perfect, but it's the best I'll ever get it. I am aware of small issues, but I've tried just about everything and this is the best version, so I'm going to leave it as is. Performance: This mod does not hold back when it comes to cloth simulations and particles, so it might have an impact on performance. It does run without any noticeable impact on my 6 year old mid PC, so it should run fine on most computers, but it may lag on lower end PCs or when running other heavy applications in the background like OBS. In that case, I recommend running the no particle version instead. More lag during the initial map preloading phase after opening the game Please report any other bugs, and I might fix them! (if I feel like it, I spent way too much time on this)…
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Yamato asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install Kiana Kaslana - Yamato?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is Kiana Kaslana - Yamato safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 2,385 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this skin?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove Kiana Kaslana - Yamato?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
