Kiana Kaslana - Yamato — Yamato skins for Deadlock

Replaces Yamato with our one and only spicy tuna! This mod incudes: Model / weapon replacement. Dynamic cloth and ponytail physics. Voice lines (all except intro convos and the ones I've never heard anyone use before). Top bar and map icons. Hero select and shop pose. Unique VFX / SFX for abilities. Ult music / symbol. Model, voice lines, and icons stolen from various Honkai media (mostly the game). Critical health icon stolen from sesield. Known issues: Performance: The particles might cause depending on the device. In that case, I recommend running the no particle version instead. Please report any other bugs, and I might fix them! (if I feel like it, I spent way too much time on this). EXTRAS: (Download both the main mod and the extras). Voice lines featuring 3 guest characters! Replaces the shopkeeper voice lines when you buy t4 items (yes, those are the only ones unique to yamato). Also replaces patron voice lines for the intro pep talk and voice lines directed at yamato (praises). You might like it if you're a big honkai fan, but otherwise I recommend just getting the main mod. Thanks for checking the mod out! If the remodel changes the armature and breaks the mod (which it probably will), i will honkai erupt all over the entirety of brazil

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Yamato asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Kiana Kaslana - Yamato?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Kiana Kaslana - Yamato safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 11,779 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this skin?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?▾
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
Where does the download come from?▾
Directly from the author's GameBanana page. deadlocktrade.gg indexes mods and links back; it never rehosts files, so you always get the release the author published.
How do I remove Kiana Kaslana - Yamato?▾
Delete its .vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
