DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD WITH DMM. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE! This mod completely overhauls Billy. Mods that replace models, voice lines, gun sounds, portraits, or anything related to Billy will not be compatible with this mod. Jacket from Hotline Miami arrives to the Cursed Apple! Nothing entices him more than to learn the truth behind his anonymous caller, and who they are. NOTE: No voice actors were harmed in the making of this modification. Proper credit has been given, and paychecks have been distributed. Thank you.

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Billy asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Jacket (Billy Overhaul) safe to install?▾

A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back.
