Forgotten Emporium — gameplay modifications for Deadlock
THIS MOD IS VERY WIP, ITEMS AND VISUALS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE Welcome to Forgotten Emporium! A mod for deadlock that adds 60+ new items to the shop. These items come in three categories of how they were brought into this world: Category 1: Old Deadlock Items Do you remember the days of playing with Ammo Scavenger or Enduring Spirit and wish you could relive them? Well fear not, for various items from old Deadlock have made their return to the Cursed Apple! Category 2: Datamined, Broken, Neon Prime, and Scrapped Items This collection is the items that make up the vast majority of the new content. From simple stat increases, to complex new mechanics, there is wide variety to the items that come from this tier! Category 3: Completely New / Fully Reworked Items Here is where you shall find the more interesting picks of the mod. This is a combination of unique item ideas from myself and others as well as items that were fully reworked from their original function. No matter what category the item is from however they have all been changed and tweaked from their original version in some way to ensure they all function and are (somewhat) balanced. The Following Vanilla Items are also changed in some way: Fleetfoot Extra Regen Spirit Lifesteal Mystic Slow Shadow Weave ______________________________________________________________________________ An absolutely huge thank you to the Glut…
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install Forgotten Emporium?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is Forgotten Emporium safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 602 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this mod?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove Forgotten Emporium?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
