English Hero & Item Names (any language) — hud for Deadlock
Keeps your Deadlock UI in your own language but shows hero names and item names in English . Search uses the English names too, so you can find "Infernus" or "Extended Magazine" no matter which language the client is set to. Handy for following English guides and builds. Only hero names and item names are changed. HUD, menus, tooltips and descriptions stay in your language. Covers heroes (including their search tokens) and shop items. Not covered: ability names. They share a file with the descriptions, so changing them would turn the descriptions English too. Install. Deadlock Mod Manager: Add Local Mod (or download from the store if listed), enable it, then Launch modded. Manual: put pak66_dir.vpk into Deadlock/game/citadel/addons/ . If the mod doesn't show up, check that gameinfo.gi has Game citadel/addons in SearchPaths. Unofficial mod. All game text belongs to Valve. Русский. Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.
