Ender Chest for Heavy Crates — model replacement for Deadlock

Ender Chest Crates. Replaces the Heavy Crates (the blue boxes you break open with heavy melee) with Minecraft ender chests. The chests are scaled to match the original crates and use the same hitbox, so gameplay is unchanged. The rattle and break animations work just like vanilla. Put pak92_dir.vpk in: Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel\addons. 3. If another mod already uses that pak number, rename this one to an unused number (for example pak45_dir.vpk). 4. Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Ender Chest for Heavy Crates safe to install?▾
