Disturb Magic (Mushoku Tensei Sound Swap) — other/misc for Deadlock
Disturb Magic - Dispel Magic Sound Swap (Mushoku Tensei). Turns Dispel Magic into Disturb Magic, the spell from Mushoku Tensei that breaks apart an opponent's magic. I thought it was fitting so I went ahead and did the sound+name swap. What it changes Name: shows as "Disturb Magic" in the shop, tooltips, inventory and build editor. Searching "Dispel" in the shop still finds it. Sound: both activation sounds are replaced with audio from the anime. Cast: plays every time you activate the item. Buff: plays on top of the cast sound when something actually gets dispelled. Icon: Eris Boreas Greyrat (see credits). This mod is purely cosmetic. It changes no gameplay values, and only you will see and hear it. Two versions (pick one) Rudeus: Rudeus casts Disturb Magic. Orsted: Orsted casts Disturb Magic. Install only one . Both replace the same files, so with both installed only one will take effect. Installation Deadlock Mod Manager: install the version you want and enable it. Manual: Unzip the version you want. Rename the .vpk to a free slot, e.g. pak05_dir.vpk . Place it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel\addons. Restart the game. After game updates. This mod includes a copy of the game's item-name file. If Valve adds or renames items and some names show up as raw text like upgrade_... , check back here for an updated version, or remove the mod unti…
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Disturb Magic (Mushoku Tensei Sound Swap)?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is Disturb Magic (Mushoku Tensei Sound Swap) safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 27 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this mod?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove Disturb Magic (Mushoku Tensei Sound Swap)?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
