Deadlock Lane Adviser — hud for Deadlock

Lane Adviser WARNING!!! Be sure that tha heroes names in the game set to English !!! IMPORTANT!!! Not compatible with Deadlock Threat HUD ! Only one of these mods can be installed at a time. Choose your opening lane with historical 2v2 hero matchup statistics , displayed directly in your HUD. Lane Adviser runs as a standalone VPK and retrieves statistics through deadlock.ltd. At the start of a match, the adviser automatically detects the heroes and lane assignments, then compares five options : stay on your current lane or swap with any of the four allies on the other two lanes. Each option considers your future lane partner and the opposing duo, using historical results for that exact hero combination. The HUD displays: S15 — average soul difference between the two hero pairs at minute 15. Positive means a historical soul lead; negative means a deficit. WR — historical match win rate for the corresponding matchup. n — the sample size supporting each statistic. WR and S15 can have different sample sizes. Purple highlights the BEST recommendation , selected using S15 and its supporting sample size. WR provides additional context and does not determine BEST. If sufficient comparison data is unavailable, no recommendation is highlighted. Recommendations focus on your own opening lane . Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

How do I install Deadlock Lane Adviser?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Deadlock Lane Adviser safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 47 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this mod?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?▾
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
