Deadlock eBay - Auction Mode. ============================. The shop is closed. Every item is won at auction - Legendaries included. HOW TO PLAY. 1. You need a server running the eBay mode. Host one yourself with the Server Kit (free, no port forwarding): https://github.com/JONE500I007/Deadlock-but-eBay-Server/releases. -> extract it anywhere, run setup_server.bat once, then start_ebay_server.bat. 2. (Recommended) Install this mod (Deadlock_eBay.zip) to see the auction panel: install it with your mod manager, or copy pak92_dir.vpk into Deadlock/game/citadel/addons/ and restart the game (joining through the Deadworks. launcher works too). Without it you can still play: auctions show in chat, bid by typing /b 500. 3. In Deadlock enable the console (Settings -> "Dev command console") and press F7. - The host (same PC as the server): connect localhost:27016. - Friends: the host types status in the SERVER window (not the game's F7 console) and finds the steamid. It's a long code in square brackets that starts with A:1, like this: [A:1:1234567890:12345]. (it's also printed when the server starts: ServerSteamID=[A:1:1234567890:12345]). The host sends the whole thing, brackets included, and friends type: connect [A:1:1234567890:12345]. The code changes every time the server starts, so send the new one after a restart. Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.
