Danny B. Zarr (Party Zone Pinball mini-Overhaul) — Deadman Danny skins for Deadlock

You are about to enter another dimension with your Host, Pilot, and D.J. - Captain B. Zarr! Fasten your seatbelt and escape to a parallel universe that's way beyond New York! Meet & Greet MOBA's greatest partiers at the most electro-flying club... "The Cosmic Cottage", where they really pump-it-up! During "Happy Hour", fill up with "Jettison Fuel", Blast Off and "Rock-It" through the "O-Zone" for some major frags! You may even experience the "Close The Deal" (It's not just workshopping any more!) so become a frequent flier on a fantasy excursion that will take you way, way, way out there to...... THE PARTY ZONE. This is a light overhaul modpack for Danny referencing Bally's 1991 pinball table: The Party Zone. This mod contains: -Nearly every non-looping ability sound replaced with new funky fresh ones! -Voiceovers by the one & only, Captain B. Zarr! Features all non-struggle & generic ability lines, killstreak lines, generic kill quotes, character select/unselect, even small pain sounds! -A small texture overhaul featuring different patches, a pristine star glove, goggles with an undying gaze, a little orange to the mustache, a Bally sticker, and a fancy maroon leopard print hat! -UI changes, so the Captain can keep his eyes on you at all times! All 4 of these changes are split into separate paks if you only want the sounds or skin! this is a super niche mod, but I hope someone…

Compatibility

Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Deadman Danny asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.

Is it safe

It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions

How do I install Danny B. Zarr (Party Zone Pinball mini-Overhaul)?▾
Two ways. With Deadlock Mod Manager, use the Mod Manager button on this page and it downloads and places the file for you. By hand, put the .vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide.
Is Danny B. Zarr (Party Zone Pinball mini-Overhaul) safe to install?▾
A .vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 63 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny.
Will other players see this skin?▾
No. Deadlock loads mods client-side, so the file only changes what you render. Everyone else sees the default game, in every mode including ranked.
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾
Yes, as long as they change different things — a skin and a HUD work together fine. Two skins for the same hero do not: only one can be applied, and Deadlock picks the lower-numbered file. With pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.
Does it still work after the latest patch?▾
A Deadlock patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.
Where does the download come from?▾
Directly from the author's GameBanana page. deadlocktrade.gg indexes mods and links back; it never rehosts files, so you always get the release the author published.
How do I remove Danny B. Zarr (Party Zone Pinball mini-Overhaul)?▾
Delete its .vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
