Clean Teleporter Wall — model replacement for Deadlock
Makes the decorations on the back wall of the teleporters see-through from behind, so your view isn't blocked when you're pressed against the back of the teleporter. From the doorway the teleporter still looks the same. What changed. The back-wall decorations (arches, porthole device, pedestal and the rest) are only drawn from the doorway side. From behind them, pressed against the back of the teleporter, they disappear and you can see straight out. Everything else looks the same: the frame, the TELE / PORT sign and the lighting. Works everywhere the game uses this teleporter: in matches, in the hideout, in the tutorial, and in Doorman's elevator ability. Gameplay unchanged. Same size, same collision, same doors. Only the visual model was changed, so the teleporter works exactly like before. Works with other mods. Replaces a single file (models/props_structures/teleporter_box.vmdl_c). It only conflicts with other mods that change the teleporter model. Install. Grimoire or Deadlock Mod Manager: install and enable it. Or: Download the zip and extract cleanteleporterwall_dir.vpk . Rename it to a free slot, e.g. pak03_dir.vpk (any pakNN number nothing else uses). Put it in Steam/steamapps/common/Deadlock/game/citadel/addons . Launch the game. Version 1.0 (plain back wall, decorations removed) is still available in the archived files.
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install Clean Teleporter Wall?▾▴
.vpk into game/citadel/addons and name it pak01_dir.vpk. That folder only loads once gameinfo.gi lists it, which is a one-time edit — check the install guide. Is Clean Teleporter Wall safe to install?▾▴
.vpk is a data archive, not a program, so it cannot execute code the way an installer can. The risk is provenance. This one has 85 installs, so a problem would have surfaced on its GameBanana thread. Mods with almost no downloads from accounts with no history have had none of that scrutiny. Will other players see this mod?▾▴
Can I run it alongside other mods?▾▴
pak01_dir.vpk and pak02_dir.vpk installed, pak01 wins and the other does nothing.Does it still work after the latest patch?▾▴
gameinfo.gi and remove your search paths, which stops every manually installed mod at once — redo that edit and they come back. Separately, model replacements break first when Valve edits a skeleton; recolours and HUD mods usually survive. The author posts updates on the GameBanana page.Where does the download come from?▾▴
How do I remove Clean Teleporter Wall?▾▴
.vpk from game/citadel/addons, or toggle it off in the Deadlock Mod Manager library. Mods never overwrite game files, so nothing needs repairing afterwards.
