Blue Vindicta — Vindicta skins for Deadlock
This is my first try at making a mod in deadlock and lemme tell ya'... it's a workout How to install the mod: 1. Open file path: \Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel. Then open the gameinfo.gi 2. In gameinfo.gi, paste the following text under SearchPath { Mod citadel Write citadel Game citadel/addons Game citadel Game core } 3. Save and close. Go to the 'addons' folder (or create a new folder with said name if not already there) and place the .vpk file in there. If the name of the .vpk file is conflicting with any of your previous addons, you can simply change the number in the file name to any number between "00" and "99". 4. Launch the game and behold.
Compatibility
Model replacements are the first thing to break when Valve edits a skeleton, so re-check after each patch. It conflicts with any other mod replacing the same Vindicta asset — two in the addons folder means whichever loads last wins, and the other one silently does nothing.
Is it safe
It is client-side: the file lives on your machine and other players see the default game. Cosmetic addons have not produced bans, but Deadlock is in active development and nothing about mods is officially supported. Keep a copy of the folder before a patch and remove it if the game stops launching.
